Free Cupcake

Just like to blog the food I receive from my HR Officer this morning. She's giving free sample of cupcakes and possible a potential buyer of her cupcakes as well. Let me give you a glimpse of her cupcakes through my photos.

Hope you like it too. Because I love it from the presentation to the taste. It nevera fails to ask for more.

To be honest I was able to get two (2) cupcakes.

Frosted Delicious Mochi

I heard that SM Mall of Asia will be only sale so what we do was proceed to SM MOA and feel the sale of the biggest mall in asia as of the moment.

As we got to the entrance of MOA. Even a needle cant fall to the ground. Indeed, so many people out there having fun and plunging to the sales offered by SM MOA and the discount offered by each stalls.

What catches my attention is food called Mochi.

I am always delighted with artistic and colorful foodies that can be offered out there. Aren't you too?

Due to my curiousity and the buy 1 take 1 offer by Mochi. How can I resist to buy one? I am thinking what Mochi should I buy?! Uhmmm

I choose Strawberry Mochi. I didn't expect that Mochino serve so cold to the customer. It was so hard and cold. The vendor says to wait to melt down at least 3-5 minutes before we can start eating it.

Ohhh myyy!!! I kent wait any longer but I have to argh! After 3-5 minutes my Mochi is now ready to eat. The taste isn't that worth waiting for just a same same.

NESCAFÉ Cappuccino is the most indulgent coffee I’ve ever had!

Waking up in a foggy day then covering the mountains and trees outside your window view is the best thing to set the mood right.

What is the next best thing for me? Is from the moment, I wake up and whisper a prayer to Almighty God that I am still alive then fixing my bed. Next is to boil water and fix a cup of coffee to awaken my sexy body and soul after a deep slumber of the night. Join me as I take my breakfast before going to work.

Going to back to reality, I am recently designated to a morning shift (8:30 to 7PM) which was really new to me. Since my body clock wasn't use to a morning call. The only thing that could wake me up in the middle of my shift is a hot sip from my coffee with my favorite cup. It really energizes me to work and lift my spirit to stand a 10 hrs shift 5 days in a week. You know it and feel it right?

Being practical doesn't mean you have to sacrifice the taste and quality of your coffee. That's a big No No for me. So I have to look for something affordable yet can pass my taste and the quality of my personal standard taste of coffee, that's when I found Nestle Cappuccino! I confess I have some supplies of Nestle Cappuccino just in case I run out of supplies.

Preparing my Nestle Cappuccino feels like I'm a certified barista the foam and the ability to sprinkle choco on your own coffee is really the indulging part of drinking my Nestle Cappuccino and repeating it all over again was like your drinking it as if your first time. It would be better if you have someone to share.

So what I did my partner joined me by drinking NESCAFÉ Cappuccino with me through a mobile application – LINE by Naver since were far from each other. Sweeeet! It's the thought that count after all. Kilig much! We also have the same cup!

NOTE: While I am making photos for this entry. I have total of 3 cups already. hahahaha

Here's the winners of Nescafé Cappuccino:

A trip to Farronccino Cafe ( 168 Residences )

Lunch is approaching and thinking where to go and what to do after taking our lunch ( September 10, 2014). We need for new ambiance and sets of people to see and new food to try.

So we decided to take our lunch in 168 Residences near to KP Tower. Its a bit far to our office but we take the risk and have fun.  A friend and an officemate of mine share a stall of drink where I missed when I wasn't able to join them, Farronccino Cafe.

It was similar to Starbucks yet much very affordable though. The Tall ranging from Php 49.00 and the biggest one called Velik amounting of Php 66.00 not bad isn't?

All of us take a different farronccino flavor and take a picture while waiting for the other.

I am the first one to take order therefore I am the first one to be serve. I ordered Strawberry with a fruit blend. I love strawberries that's why. In terms of the taste, I can say its smooth and not bad at all for that kind of price.

While waiting for them we make selfies together with our farronccino flavor until we the order is complete. Someone favored to take a photos of my group. I don't know why. But we are thinking that person own the stall in that mall. A franchisee of farronccino.

We enjoyed our trip to 168 Residences and enjoy the glimpse of being a celebrity. See us more in our next trip.

PS: Glenn and Hamz join with us soon!

Famous Puto Calasiao in Pangasinan

In the Philippines, food is more than just sustenance; it's an integral part of our culture and celebrations.  Every occasion, from birthdays to fiestas, features a spread of traditional dishes, each prepared with distinct care and reflecting our rich culinary heritage.  One of the most beloved Filipino treats is the rice cake, with countless regional variations showcasing the creativity and resourcefulness of our cooks.  From the creamy leche flan to the chewy biko, rice cakes hold a special place in our hearts and on our tables. But when you talk about rice cakes in Calasiao, Pangasinan, one name stands out: puto.

The puto of Calasiao is a sweet, refined rice cake, a local delicacy that has become synonymous with the town itself.  Most residents are used to buying it regularly, enjoying its soft, pillowy texture and delicate sweetness.  It's a versatile treat, perfect on its own or paired with other Filipino favorites.  Many locals love to enjoy their puto with a bowl of dinuguan, a savory pork blood stew, creating a delightful contrast of flavors and textures. This combination is a true testament to Filipino culinary ingenuity, where sweet and savory often dance together on the palate.

Puto of Calasiao, Pangasinan

After our visit to the historic San Pablo Church in Calasiao, we strolled towards the town's entrance.  The aroma of freshly steamed puto wafted through the air, beckoning us closer.  We decided to stop at stall #5, a popular spot conveniently located across from the Calasiao town park.  It was the perfect afternoon for a merienda (afternoon snack) and a short siesta, and what better way to enjoy it than with some warm, freshly made puto?

For travelers and visitors from all corners of the Philippines, a trip to Calasiao isn't complete without grabbing a bite of their famous puto.  The slightly sticky, perfectly white rice cake is a must-try, and at just Php 80.00 per kilo, it's an affordable indulgence.  Getting to Calasiao is easy.  From the bustling city of Dagupan, a short jeepney ride for around Php 10.00 will take you straight to the heart of town. You won't have any trouble finding your way; the majestic Señor Divino Tesoro Church, a prominent landmark, serves as a beacon for travelers.  The journey itself is a small adventure, offering glimpses of Pangasinan's scenic landscapes and vibrant local life.  Whether you're a foodie eager to explore regional delicacies or simply looking for a delicious and satisfying snack, the puto of Calasiao is a culinary experience you won't want to miss.  It's a taste of tradition, a symbol of local pride, and a sweet reminder of the Philippines' rich and diverse food culture.  So, the next time you find yourself in Pangasinan, make sure to add Calasiao and its famous puto to your itinerary. You won't be disappointed!
