Checking out my good old friends in Baguio

Joy, Jen and I decided to have a get together in Baguio. Since Joy is already working in Baguio. So i agree on their plan. But on this plan we include Desiree and Tine unfortunately they cannot come on the said date.

Desiree is living already in US and Tine was so hard to communicate. You send sms today tomorrow you'll receive a response worst if she wont reply. I don't know what's going on.

Here's the shot we took during my stay in baguio together with my friend Richard.

Since Joy is so busy like a bee. We wait until evening. So boring but we have to wait if we like to have a good time an reminisce the good old days.

And we had our blast that night to wrap up the night. Here's our final shot before we go home.

See you soon! Jen and Joy.. I hope the next time we have a gathering we have Tine and Desiree with us.

Green Sweetened Pinipig

I love halo-halo especially if it has a pinipig on top. I love the smell of pinipig.  Pinipig looks like a flattened light brown kind of rice. It's usually smashed up manually by a wooden stick similar to a barbell.

I have no idea where it originates until today. I was able to witnessed and ate  a fresh pinipig with condensed milk. Both ingredients are mixed and chilled.

Pinipig is color green when it is fresh. And here's what it's look like when served.

Smell of Fresh Pinipig

It's my first time to eat green pinipig. And I love it even more. The taste almost similar to the one I used to eat. But it's good to taste variety of food once in a while.

Zest Air is in hot seat

I heard that many passengers of Zest Air are not satisfied with the service they are rendering.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines  (CAAP), many of the standard rules were violated by Zest Air such as:

- cancelled flight due to mechanical problem
- loss of accountable manager

Cancellation of Zest Air flights doesn't not only happen  in Manila but also in iloilo and other part of the Philippines.

If that will be the case, travelling by air also is not safe anymore. Zest Air or should I say all the Air Lines out there should follow the rules accordingly and without any failure.

Because consumers or passengers are complying to the fare they are implementing. Air Lines should secure the necessity of their customer. I may not be a passenger of Zest Air or any Air Lines but what I like to say is that we also have the right to demand and they should comply into it.

I hope in the near future no more complaints will be heard about substandard procedures of Air Lines.

Your service is not reliable anymore!

Many of the companies who are rendering services to consumers committing Substandard Procedures or Failure to comply in safety measurements who are in field of Transporation whether via Air, Sea or in the land.

Artwork of Kennstop for Failure

Question 1: Would you still use the services of the company who commits Substandard measurements?

Question 2: Would you agree that their services is not reliable anymore and need some improvements?

Question 3: Will you give them another chance to redeem theirselves? Or request to the authority to cancel their licencse?

Taylor Lautner in the Philippines

My alarm clock is set to 4am for work monday to friday. I'm waiting for the public bus to arrive. Finally after 10 minutes the bus arrived. Sad to say, I wasn't given a chance to seat down on my way to the office.

But in the good side, I have all the opportunity to watch and heard that Taylor Lautner is in the Philippines.
Known playing Abduction and Twilight
aceshowbiz.com

Everybody knows Taylor Lautner. He's the celebrity who gave justice to the role of Jacob in the famous novel of Twilight Saga. Now, my shift is finished and already got home.

All I have to do is wait for the segment of Bandila in Ikaw Na of ABS-CBN. Lautner will be on hot seat with Boy Abunda. I wonder what will be the questions for him.

The photo was taken last November 29,2012. Sorry for the late posting. I was so busy lately.

Moving forward, I was accompanied by a friend who was a resident of Baguio. I told him to tour me around and show the beauty of Baguio that I never saw when I there taking my training.

Animax Carnival : Robinsons Place Manila

I love cosplay but I haven't given a chance to be a part of it. But I do track the cosplay event as much as I can. So when I heard that Animax will be conducting an event in Robinsons Place Manila or more known to be as Robinsons Ermita (that’s near to my office). I really take note of the date and participates even just an audience.

Date of Event: Animax Carnival Cosplay Competition; December 9, 2012 at Robinsons Place Manila

I wasn't disappointed with the cosplayers they really portrayed the character they've chosen. Check out the photos I gathered on that day:

Famous Puto Calasiao in Pangasinan

In the Philippines, food is more than just sustenance; it's an integral part of our culture and celebrations.  Every occasion, from birthdays to fiestas, features a spread of traditional dishes, each prepared with distinct care and reflecting our rich culinary heritage.  One of the most beloved Filipino treats is the rice cake, with countless regional variations showcasing the creativity and resourcefulness of our cooks.  From the creamy leche flan to the chewy biko, rice cakes hold a special place in our hearts and on our tables. But when you talk about rice cakes in Calasiao, Pangasinan, one name stands out: puto.

The puto of Calasiao is a sweet, refined rice cake, a local delicacy that has become synonymous with the town itself.  Most residents are used to buying it regularly, enjoying its soft, pillowy texture and delicate sweetness.  It's a versatile treat, perfect on its own or paired with other Filipino favorites.  Many locals love to enjoy their puto with a bowl of dinuguan, a savory pork blood stew, creating a delightful contrast of flavors and textures. This combination is a true testament to Filipino culinary ingenuity, where sweet and savory often dance together on the palate.

Puto of Calasiao, Pangasinan

After our visit to the historic San Pablo Church in Calasiao, we strolled towards the town's entrance.  The aroma of freshly steamed puto wafted through the air, beckoning us closer.  We decided to stop at stall #5, a popular spot conveniently located across from the Calasiao town park.  It was the perfect afternoon for a merienda (afternoon snack) and a short siesta, and what better way to enjoy it than with some warm, freshly made puto?

For travelers and visitors from all corners of the Philippines, a trip to Calasiao isn't complete without grabbing a bite of their famous puto.  The slightly sticky, perfectly white rice cake is a must-try, and at just Php 80.00 per kilo, it's an affordable indulgence.  Getting to Calasiao is easy.  From the bustling city of Dagupan, a short jeepney ride for around Php 10.00 will take you straight to the heart of town. You won't have any trouble finding your way; the majestic Señor Divino Tesoro Church, a prominent landmark, serves as a beacon for travelers.  The journey itself is a small adventure, offering glimpses of Pangasinan's scenic landscapes and vibrant local life.  Whether you're a foodie eager to explore regional delicacies or simply looking for a delicious and satisfying snack, the puto of Calasiao is a culinary experience you won't want to miss.  It's a taste of tradition, a symbol of local pride, and a sweet reminder of the Philippines' rich and diverse food culture.  So, the next time you find yourself in Pangasinan, make sure to add Calasiao and its famous puto to your itinerary. You won't be disappointed!
